For drivers looking to drive or tow a trailer with heavy vehicles that falls in the category of C1, they need to procure C1+E license.
For drivers who have passed their car driving test before January 1997, they would already have C1+E license, but with restricted trailer limit of up to 750 Kg (Total train weight: Up to 8250 Kg).
This category is an addition to C1class as it includes the trailer and towing methodology, but with lorry or trucks.
A driver needs to have full category C1 license before taking C1+E course.
For availing the driver training facility for attainment of C1+E license, one must apply for the C1+E provisional entitlement along with a medical report.
The C1+E license attainment makes a driver qualified to drive LGV vehicles entailing:
• 3.5 ft to 7.5 ft height vehicles with trailers
• 3500 kg to 7.5 tonnes in weight with trailers
• Mini diggers and excavators
• Chippers and Mulchers
• Recovery vehicles
• Recreational Vehicles towing leisure craft, cars, motor bikes or boats behind their RVs.
• Rapid Deployment Trailers, which are used by breakdown and recovery service suppliers.
BusTraining’s C1+E license training is authorized under DSA (Driving Standards Agency) and DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency); and is regulated by European Union.

The course duration is of maximum 20 hours.
The fee for the C1+E license training is 50 pounds per hour.
BustTraining provides customized and expert training for all types of trailers and towing vehicles as per the requirement of the drivers.
After the completion of the training course, one must pass the practical test for C1+E license under DSA and also need to obtain Driver CPC.
After the successful completion of the course and attainment of C1+E license and CPC, a driver is professionally qualified to work as a driver on various towing vehicles and trailers in the range of 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes. Additionally, at regular period of 5 years after attainment of C1+E license, one must renew their C1+E license as per the government norms.
