PCV D1 License

For Passenger Carrying Vehicles, a driver has to obtain D1 category license, which is the first and foremost requirement in Passenger Vehicle Category.

Eligibility:

For drivers, who have attained car driving license before January 1997 are entitled with D1 license for restricted work: driving minibus for social and pleasure. However, for paid work or job driving a minibus they need to pass D1 driving license test.
And for drivers who have passed their car driving test after January 1997, they need to take PCV D1 test for D1 license entitlement.
For availing the driver training facility for attainment of D1 license, one must apply for the D1 provisional entitlement along with a medical report.

Procedure to procure D1 license:

• Getting provisional entitlement
• Passing DSA PCV theory test
• Completion of practical training
• Passing DSA practical examination
• Completing the Initial Driver CPC

Vehicles for which D1 license is provided:

• Bus with a minimum of 9 and maximum of 16 passenger seats with weight limit up to 750 Kg.

Course duration:

Fees:
