For drivers looking to drive or tow a trailer with heavy vehicles that falls in the category of C, they need to procure C+E license.
This category is an addition to C class as it includes the trailer and towing methodology, but with Lorries up to 32 tonnes (total train weight: 44 tonnes).
A driver needs to have full category C license before taking C+E course.
For availing the driver training facility for attainment of C+E license, one must apply for the C+E provisional entitlement along with a medical report.
The C+E license attainment makes a driver qualified to drive LGV vehicles entailing:
• 7.5 tonnes to 32 tonnes in weight with trailers
Vehicles for which C+E license is provided:
• 44 tonne articulated combination
• 32 tonne Draw bar combination
• All other heavy vehicles with trailers or Article falling in this category.

The course duration is of maximum 20 hours.
The fee for the C+E license training is 50 pounds per hour.
