PCV D+E License

This license entitles an Automatic or Manual coach/bus driver to tow a trailer along with their vehicle.

Eligibility:

• A driver with D license is entitled to upgrade to D+E
For availing the driver training facility for attainment of D+E license, one must apply for the D+E provisional entitlement along with a medical report.

Procedure to procure D license:

• Getting provisional entitlement
• Passing DSA PCV theory test
• Completion of practical training
• Passing DSA practical examination
• Completing the Initial Driver CPC

Vehicles for which D+E license is provided:

• Buses and coach which falls under D license category, along with a trailer.

Authorization:

Course duration:

The course duration is of maximum 20 hours.

Fees:

The fee for the D+E license training is 50 pounds per hour.
After the completion of the training course, one must pass the practical test for D+E license under DSA and also needs to obtain Driver CPC.
Additionally, at regular period of 5 years after attainment of D+E license, one must renew their D+E license as per the government norms.
