PCV D1+E License

For towing trailers with Passenger Carrying Vehicles (in category up to 750 Kg), a driver has to obtain D1+E category license.

Eligibility:

A driver with D1 license is entitled to upgrade to D1+E.
For availing the driver training facility for attainment of D1+E license, one must apply for the D1+E provisional entitlement along with a medical report.

Procedure to procure D1+E license:

• Getting provisional entitlement
• Passing DSA PCV theory test
• Completion of practical training
• Passing DSA practical examination
• Completing the Initial Driver CPC

Vehicles for which D1+E license is provided:

• Buses and coach which falls under D1 category; with trailers for passage of kayaks, tents, canoes, and camp gear.
